Les banques Sugamo Shinkin ont fait appel à une jeune architecte française,  Emmanuelle Moureaux pour  apporter une vision nouvelle de la banque. Ici, pas de plaques ni de logos de banques, le bâtiment lui-même représente l'enseigne.

Banks like colorfull millefeuilles, like cube games,  designed by the young architect, Emmanuelle Moureaux in Japan.

Inspired by the Japanese traditional sliding screens, Emmanuelle Moureaux has been developing “Shikiri”, a new concept which literally means “dividing space with colors” in English. She creates spaces using colors, not as a finishing element applied at the end of the design process in order to decorate the space, but as three-dimensional layers, which create the space. By a very distinguished use of colors, she designs new concepts, new atmospheres which give emotions  to people.(Photos:  Nacasa&Partners)

The underground Metro as a swimming pool?

Nathalie Kosciusko- Morizet, UMP candidate for mayor of Paris , has proposed the first sketches of possible uses she imagines for ghosts metro stations in the capital :
Under the feet of Parisians are several metro stations called ghost! These disused stations are not accessible to the public. A project to redevelop and make new trendy places of the capital is considered.




 

The first ideas would be to turn these unused stations by metro to make theaters , swimming pools, or even restaurants. Seven stations concerned to make this idea more concrete , the project has been imaged by a young Parisian architect , Manal Rachdi , a planner and architect, Nicolas Laisné , who took the example of the Arsenal station revisited . The redevelopment project would involve seven stations. This project is probably not ready to be implemented as it takes to get everyone to agree before . By the way,  why is there ghosts stations ? Some were closed during the Second World War and never reopened. Others were built but never received it and some travelers do not even have access to the public. Still others are used today to train technicians RATP. Note that the rehabilitation of these stations would be long and costly, as they should comply with the new safety standards.

"REALITY LAB" A new shop designed by Yoshioka Tokujin for the brand Issey Miyake

Yoshioka Tokujin designed the shop of Issey Miyake. The idea of Tokujin Yoshioka is “shopping in laboratories” . This project is called Issey Miyake Reality Lab. A clinically themed interior divided into blue and green zones. 

Rails are hidden. Bright colums and display shelves stand out. Yoshioka Tokujin’s tables and stands are     used to the display. We can see a contrast between the texture of peeled wall and the cool colored aluminium wall.

VALENTINE'S DAY IN TOKYO

Guess one of the bestseller sales for Valentine's Day in 2013 in Japan.  
Delicious blend of Matcha and white chocolate. They delicately melt in your mouth.

And those  Ichigo Daifuku with Matcha.....

DAIFUKU: Literally "great luck", is a japanese confection consisting of a small round mochi (glutinous rice) stuffed with sweet filling, most commonly anko, sweetened red bean paste made from azuki beans.  Here, the anko is based on Matcha. Strawberry inside. Japanese people eat Daifuku for celebration dates.
